Party Venue entrepreneurs seek to open business

KATHMANDU: Entrepreneurs involved in the party venue business have asked the government to create an environment for conducting businesses immediately.

Stating that more than 50,000 jobs have been lost and millions of lives have been affected due to the closure of 7,000 party palaces across the country, entrepreneurs have sought an environment for them to be able to conduct their businesses immediately.

President of the Federation of Nepal National Party Palace and Catering Entrepreneurs, Lila Bahadur GC, said that the government should create an environment for running party palaces and catering businesses without any hindrance.

“Our businesses are on the verge of collapse and thousands of people have lost their jobs and this process hasn’t stopped yet. The government should clarify on why we are not being allowed to run our businesses while other businesses have been permitted to open shop. We should be given permission to operate our businesses by following necessary health safety protocols set by the government,” said GC.
