Nepal-India Franchise Expo, Awards and Summit to be held virtually on October 16-18

KATHMANDU: The second edition of the Nepal-India Franchise Expo, Awards and Summit is slated virtually from October 16 to 18.

The Embassy of India in partnership with the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry(FNCCI) and Nepalfranchise.com is organizing the first ever-3D expo aiming to bring together Nepali and Indian brands and visitors under one platform.

Due to the COVID-19, the edition is being hosted on a customized 3-D technology enabled virtual platform so that visitors can meet potential investors or partners at the comfort and safety of their home. The expo will enable participants in meeting business professionals and experts through one-to-one chat, audio/video calls, exploring business options from all industries and investments ranges, and learn about the latest business trends and changes from industry experts.

More than 100 brands of both countries will be exhibiting the opportunities in the mega event which will be benefitted by more than 2,000 capable investors seeking business opportunities such as franchise, dealership and licensing.

The expo is expected to figure out the ways of surviving business in a ‘contactless’ yet booming economy. “Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, entrepreneurs and businesses have transformed their business model by catering through e-commerce and technology-oriented platforms. By trying to find opportunities in every platform, business houses are helping each other to survive and thrive smoothly,” read the press statement issued by the embassy.

The organizer also invites all the leading Nepali and Indian brands to exhibit in the virtual platform to explore business prospects that suit entrepreneur’s aims, desires and goals.

The expo also expects to help make the brands and investors of both the nations make a comeback along with creating a new stream of possibilities in the private label space. This platform will further propel the brand’s momentum and boost entrepreneurship in both countries.

The first edition of the summit was held in May 2019 which received overwhelming response with participation of 60 renowned Indian brands including 10 Nepali brands. More than 2,000 entrepreneurs from Nepal were provided the opportunity to engage with these brands and explore business opportunities.
