Nepal receives foreign assistance pledge worth Rs 202 billion in ten months

KATHMANDU: Nepal has received foreign assistance pledge worth Rs 202.28 billion in the first ten months of the current fiscal year.

The pledge is 35 percent more compared to what Nepal had been pledged during the same period last year. Nepal has received 89.1 percent of the pledged amount as loans and 10.9 percent as grants.

As per the Ministry of Finance (MoF), donors have pledged to provide Rs 54 billion for road construction, Rs 46.26 billion for the energy sector and Rs 23.68 billion as budgetary support.

While 95.3 percent of the pledged assistance is from multilateral agencies, bilateral assistance stand at 4.7 percent.
