KATHMANDU: Lawyers and government attorneys, on behalf of the government, are scheduled to begin debate in favor of the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) from today.
On May 22, President Bidya Devi Bhandari, at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers had dissolved the house.
Until Sunday, lawyers on behalf of writ petitioners had been debating at the Supreme Court.
More than two dozen writ petitions were filed at the Supreme Court (SC) seeking the restoration of the House.
Five-member constitutional bench led by Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana has been hearing the case since last one month.
