Govt forms taskforce to assess damage on roads and bridges caused by landslide and floods

KATHMANDU: The government has formed a task force to carryout the damage on roads and bridges caused by the recent landslides and floods across the country.

Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has formed a seven-member task force led by deputy director-general of the Department of Roads, Deepak Shrestha.

As mandated, the task force will investigate damages caused to the under-construction as well as completed roads and bridges in different parts of the country due to continuous rainfall. Along with this, the task force has been mandated to submit its preliminary report on damages to these infrastructure and submit it to the Ministry Leadership by July 22.
