Nepal Telecom introduces SEE offer targeting students

KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom has made public the SEE offer keeping in mind the students who have passed the SEE. Like last year, the telco has provided free SIM cards and data, voice, and SMS facilities to the students who have passed SEE under this year’s offer.

Telecom has stated that the offer will be available in old and new SIMs. In which 100 MB of data (total 30 GB) per day for 30 days, 10 minutes of call (total 300 minutes to talk telecom-telecom) and 10 SMS (total 300 SMS) will be received, said Rajesh Joshi, spokesperson of the telecom. According to him, the new SIM will also have a bonus on the recharge package.

When recharging Rs 50 or more in the pack, you will be able to run 500 MB of data at any time on each recharge, 50 minutes call, and send 50 SMS within the network of Nepal Telecom. The facility will be available on recharge for up to 6 months. The bonus facility should be used within three days.

For SEE students, e-learning packages can also be availed as required on the SIM card provided by the company free of cost or converted into a student SIM already in use. The e-learning package provided earlier can be used only from 5 am to 10 am and now it can be used from 5 am to 5 pm.

Students who get a new SIM will be able to make calls, send SMS or use data on any network from Rs 10 available as the main balance on the SIM card. Apart from that, 40 minutes of talk time, 20 SMS, and 60 MB of data can be used in the network of Nepal Telecom within a month. Students who have passed the SSE will have to fill up a form for a new SIM with a photocopy of a class 10 mark sheet, a photocopy, and a photocopy of their or their parent’s citizenship or another identity card.
