NT offering free SIM card to old age citizens

KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom (NT) is giving away free SIM cards to senior citizens. Celebrating the International Senior Citizens Day on October 1, the state-owned telco is offering SIM cards free of cost to senior citizens.

The recipient must be over 60 years old to be eligible for this offer. NT’s free SIM card offer for senior citizens will be effective from Ashoj 15 till 25. The offer is available throughout the country.

NT says the SIM card will come with Rs.10 balance. Likewise, the SIM card will also feature 40 minutes of talk time, 20 SMS, and 60 MB data. These resources will be valid for a month’s time. To receive the SIM card, the senior citizens must visit the nearest NT counter and produce a PP-size photo.

Similarly, a document such as citizenship or Senior Citizen ID will be a must to verify their age. The offer is available at all NTC counters across the country.
