Five-star hotel Hyatt Place makes a foray into Nepali hospitality industry

KATHMANDU: Five-star hotel, Hyatt Place, is all set to start its operation in Kathmandu from November 15. The international hotel chain brand, Hyatt Place Kathmandu (Soltimode) is set up with the investment of over Rs 5 billion by the business conglomerate Golyan Group.

On Saturday (November 15), promoters of the hotel announced official launching of the five-star hotel in Kathmandu. On the occasion, Pawan Golyan, chairman of the Group, informed that the hotel started its operation amidst post-Covid recovery of the tourism industry in Nepal.

“Construction and operation of the hotel was delayed for few years due to the pandemic. However, as the pandemic is settling down and the the tourism industry is showing good sign of recovery, we expect operation of this new hotel is timely,” said Golyan.

Despite being the international chain brand, Golyan informed that Hyatt Palace will give equal priority to both domestic and international tourists.

The 14-story hotel has 153 rooms, a restaurant, banquet, spa, fitness center, swimming pool, and meeting hall.

The Hyatt Place Kathmandu is owned by the Golyan Group under the leadership of Akshay Golyan, Executive Director. The Golyan Group is a diversified group of companies with businesses in hydropower, spinning mills, real estate and organic farming. This is their first foray into hospitality. Varun Talwar is the General Manager of the hotel.
