KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index closed at 2,876.75 today after losing 14.58 points from last Tuesday’s closing. This is a minimal loss of 0.5% on the index. The index had gained 19.29 points last Tuesday. The exchange remained closed yesterday (Wednesday) on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar.
The index opened at 2,898.61 today and made the intraday high at 2,924.65. While it went as low as 2,871.95, it ultimately closed at 2,876.75.
224 scrips traded hands via 108,365 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 15,780,713 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 8.61 billion in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Tuesday’s turnover of Rs. 6.57 billion.
