Investment Board approves Rs 9.68 billion investment in Dabur Nepal

KATHMANDU: Office of the Investment Board Nepal (OIBN) has approved Rs an investment of Rs 9.68 billion in Dabur Nepal. The 49th meeting of the Investment Board Nepal (IBN), chaired by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, approved the investment in Dabur Nepal for capacity building and diversification of products of the company.

Similarly, the meeting also decided to approve the Inception Report submitted by SJVN Limited India, the proposed company selected to develop the Lower Arun Hydropower Project through construction, ownership, operation and transfer modality

During the meeting, the Prime Minister Deuba expressed the view that the government is committed to create an investment-friendly environment by making necessary policy and legal reforms to attract investors. He also directed related agencies to expedite the work related to diversification and feasibility study and focus on project construction.

At the meeting, OIBN Chief Executive Officer Sushil Bhat informed about the progress made regarding project implementation, facilitation and development and institutional reform and the activities undertaken by the OIBN as directed by the previous board meeting.
