Two helicopters mobilized for search of missing Tara Air aircraft

KATHMANDU: Two private helicopters have been deployed to search the Tara Air aircraft that lost contact this morning.

Similarly, Nepal Army helicopter is also set to start search and rescue operation of the Tara Air aircraft.

According to Home Ministry spokesperson Phanindra Mani Pokhrel, the search for the lost aircraft is being carried out using two private helicopters from Mustang and Pokhara. According to him, preparations are being made to use Nepal Army helicopters in the search.

Tara Air’s 9N AET twin-engine aircraft carrying 19 passengers took off from Pokhara at 9:55 in the morning.

Meanwhile, locals have reported that they heard loud noise and saw fire burning in Ghas, Mustang. But no police or other body has reached there yet. According to police, efforts are being made to confirm this information.
