KATHMANDU: The government has made a provision of not allowing the sub-division of land without determining agricultural and non-agricultural zones.
The Land Use Act and the Land Use Regulations have been issued by the government in order to categorize the lands.
The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation has directed the subordinate bodies to implement the government’s decision.
With this, the banks and other financial institutions will not release debt by mortgaging arable lands.
