Test flights of paragliding conducted in Phulchowki-Kushadevi

KAVREPALANCHOWK: Paragliding service has come into operation in Phulchowki-Kushadevi area in Panauti Municipality of Kavre.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation had earlier granted permission to Phulchowki Adventure Pvt Ltd to commercially operate paragliding service in the Phulchowki-Kushadevi area of Kavre last January. The CAAN had permitted the company to operate the service since last January itself.

Chhabilal Humagain, chairman of the company that plans to run paragliding service, shared that a test paragliding had begun since Monday (February 13) as a preparation for launching commercial services. “We have started test paragliding for commercial services. We will go for commercial services after a three-day test paragliding”.

He further informed that ‘demonstration’ paragliding was being made for now before launching commercial service. At least 10 paragliding flights would provide the service.
