A writ registered in Supreme Court against PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, hearing on March 9

KATHMANDU: Relatives of the people, who were killed during the decade-long civil war, have filed a writ at the Supreme Court against CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday. He is the setting prime minister too.

In a program held in Tundikhel on January 1, 2076 BS, Dahal expressed that he would take responsibility for only 5,000 of the 17,000 people killed in the name of civil war.

Legal practitioner Gyanendraraj Aran and the victims of conflict-time incidents have filed a writ regarding Dahal’s statement. The hearing on the writ has been fixed for Thursday.

The writ petitioner, Gyanendraraj Aran, said that the case was filed on the basis of personal injuries suffered by them. “There is no involvement of any political party in this, whatever decision is made by the court is acceptable to us,” he said.

earlier, the joint bench of Justice Ishwar Khatiwada and Hari Phuyal ordered the registration of the writ on Friday. According to the same order, the legal professionals again approached the Supreme Court with a writ.
