Govt to send migrant workers to Israel

The government has started its preparation to send workers to Israel through a government process in the second phase.

Spokesperson at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Danduraj Ghimire said that preparation to send Nepali migrant workers to Israel gained momentum in response to the call for the same from Israel in the second phase.

He further informed that Israel has shown interest to take 500 Nepalis as assistant workers.

Ghimire further shared that the government has made necessary preparations to send Nepali workers in the second phase following Israel’s interest.

According to the ministry, preparation is being made for the labor minister level visit to Israel to expedite the preparation.

In the first phase, a total of 1,175 workers were selected through a lottery system for employment in Israel. Minimum remuneration of 1,543 US Dollars was designated for each Nepali worker in Israel as a caretaker. RSS
