KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank has rolled out a week-long financial literacy campaign targeting students and youth across all seven provinces of Nepal as part of ‘Global Money Week 2025.’ The initiative, which saw participation from over 6,000 students and young individuals, aimed to enhance financial awareness among the country’s younger generation.
In addition to its own programs, Global IME Bank staff joined events organized by Nepal Rastra Bank and other institutions, carrying banners to promote financial education. The bank plans to extend such initiatives through its 355 branches nationwide, focusing on financial literacy and digital banking promotion.
The campaign covered key topics including savings, loans, remittances, digital banking, insurance, investment, additional banking services, financial fraud prevention, and fiscal discipline.
By engaging thousands of participants, the bank underscored its commitment to fostering a financially savvy population, aligning with global efforts to empower youth with essential money management skills.
