Google Maps launches street view in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Google Maps has officially launched its Street View service in Nepal, offering virtual access to the country’s breathtaking landscapes, historic architecture, and vibrant culture. The announcement was made today during the Digital Nepal Conclave 2025.

From today, anyone around the world can explore Nepal digitally through Google Maps’ Street View. Users can stroll through the bustling streets of Kathmandu, navigate the tranquil expanses of the Terai region, or take a virtual journey along winding roads that reveal the majestic snow-capped Himalayas—all from a smartphone or computer.

This new feature allows users to experience Nepal’s rich architectural heritage, ancient temples, palaces, lively marketplaces, and vibrant traditions up close, offering an immersive window into the nation’s cultural and historical wealth.

The Street View launch is expected to serve as a dynamic medium for promoting Nepal’s cultural heritage and tourism potential globally.
