KATHMANDU: Sushila Karki has officially assumed her duties as the Prime Minister of Nepal. Appointed as the head of the interim government, Karki took charge of office at Singha Durbar on Friday morning.
Before assuming her post, Prime Minister Karki visited the Martyrs’ Memorial in Lainchaur earlier today, where she paid tribute by offering garlands in honor of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for democracy and the nation.
Her appointment as Prime Minister marks the beginning of the interim government’s functioning, which is expected to oversee critical state affairs during the transitional political phase.
