KATHMANDU: The Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) has reassured international travelers and global tourism stakeholders that Nepal is once again safe, stable, and ready to welcome visitors, following weeks of youth-led protests and political transition.
In its press release, NATTA underlined that the appointment of Nepal’s first female Prime Minister has brought new energy and confidence to the country, helping restore calm and build a foundation for a stable and prosperous future.
According to NATTA, the tourism industry has fully resumed operations:
Tourists are safe. Authorities have restored law and order nationwide, with no further disruptions anticipated.
Airports and transport are functioning. Tribhuvan International Airport and all domestic airports are operational with airlines resuming normal schedules. Ground transport and other tourism-related services are running smoothly.
Tourism businesses are open. Hotels, trekking agencies, tour operators, and cultural heritage sites are welcoming guests with all safety measures in place.
The association praised the resilience of Nepal’s tourism sector, noting its ability to recover after times of challenge. “As protests have ended and a stable transition takes place, our priority is to assure the world that Nepal is safe, welcoming, and open for tourism,” NATTA stated.
It also acknowledged the inconvenience faced by travelers caught in last week’s disruptions and extended gratitude to the Nepal Tourism Board, airlines, embassies, hotels, and other partners for their cooperation in supporting visitors. Going forward, NATTA emphasized its focus on rebuilding global confidence, strengthening tourism services, and ensuring Nepal continues to shine as one of the world’s most remarkable destinations.
The press release advised international visitors to reconfirm flights, hotel bookings, and tour arrangements with respective providers and remain updated through local operators and embassy advisories. “Above all, travelers can be assured that NATTA and Nepal’s tourism community are working hand in hand to deliver a safe, seamless, and memorable stay,” it added.
As the nation turns toward stability and renewal, NATTA called on the global community to rediscover Nepal’s majestic landscapes, rich culture, and renowned hospitality. “Nepal is open, safe, and ready to welcome the world once again,” the release added.
