IIMS College begins operation of Its new international-standard campus in Nepal

KATHMANDU: IIMS College has inaugurated its new next-generation campus, IIMS 2.0, at Bhagwatibahal, Naxal, marking a major expansion of the institution’s higher education facilities and its international partnership programs.

Established in 2010, IIMS College offers globally aligned undergraduate programs with a strong focus on practical learning and international collaboration. The new campus aims to strengthen these efforts with upgraded infrastructure, modern classrooms, digital learning spaces and industry-integrated facilities.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials from Taylor’s University, Malaysia, one of Southeast Asia’s leading private universities ranked 253rd in the QS World University Rankings. Delegates included; Prof. Barry Winn, Vice Chancellor and President, Ms. Ng (Angie) Sok Ping, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Neethaiahnathan Ari Raghavan, Executive Dean, Social Sciences & Leisure Management, Prof. Chong Siong Choy, Executive Dean, Business & Law.

The event began with a traditional welcome, followed by the ribbon-cutting and a tour of the new campus facilities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sabindra Maharjan, CEO and Executive Chairman of IIMS Group, said the new campus represents a commitment to offering world-class education within Nepal. He said IIMS 2.0 will help build a global learning environment for Nepali students.

Taylor’s University Vice Chancellor Prof. Barry Winn said the partnership between the two institutions aims to expand access to high-quality international education and help prepare future global leaders in Nepal.

The new IIMS 2.0 campus includes smart classrooms, advanced laboratories, innovation and entrepreneurship hubs, hospitality training suites, collaboration areas, rooftop spaces, and experiential learning centers such as Taylor’s Café and Aranya Boutique Hotel.

The launch of IIMS 2.0 marks a significant step in the college’s plan to position itself as a leading center for international-standard education in South Asia.
