The agreement was formally signed at a ceremony in Kathmandu on Wednesday. Engineer Bishnu Panthi signed on behalf of Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited, while Lemon Tree Hotels Limited was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Vilas Pawar.

The signing ceremony was attended by Bandipur Cable Car Chairman Ram Chandra Sharma, CEO of Bandipur Cable Car Limited Dr. Roman Man Shrestha, Executive Coordination Officer of RKD Basanta Sharma, and senior officials from both organizations. Speakers at the event stated that the partnership would help position Nepal more prominently on the global tourism map and contribute to the country’s development as a premium tourist destination.

Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited is regarded as a leading institution driving tourism development in the Bandipur region. Lemon Tree Hotels Limited is one of India’s major hotel chains, with a strong presence across Asia and the Middle East. Its extensive global reservation network, corporate travel reach, and diversified luxury-to-midscale customer base are expected to significantly strengthen Bandipur’s visibility in international tourism markets.

Under the agreement, the hotel in Bandipur will be operated as part of the “Lemon Tree Hotels” brand network. The partnership will provide international brand affiliation, professional hotel management, global marketing and sales access, service expansion, quality control, human resource development, and integration into Lemon Tree’s global reservation system.

Company officials described the agreement as a strategic turning point for Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited. The collaboration with an international hospitality brand is expected to enhance revenue stability, increase hotel occupancy rates, boost foreign currency earnings, and generate long-term positive impacts on brand value and corporate image.

The partnership is also expected to strengthen investor confidence, enhance the company’s credibility in the market, and clarify long-term, tourism-driven growth prospects. Synergies between the cable car service, hotel operations, and destination tourism are projected to expand the company’s overall business scope.

Following the agreement, an increase in international tourist arrivals to Bandipur is anticipated, along with the creation of local employment opportunities, improved service standards, and broader improvements in tourism-related infrastructure. The hotel is expected to formally commence operations under the Lemon Tree Hotels brand and standards in the near future.
