KATHMANDU: Gold prices declined in the domestic market on Thursday, ending a four-day upward trend. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold fell by Rs 1,500 per tola, while silver dropped by Rs 170 per tola.
With the revision, gold is being traded at Rs 276,500 per tola, while silver has been fixed at Rs 5,485 per tola. On Wednesday, gold was traded at Rs 278,000 per tola and silver at Rs 5,655 per tola.
Earlier, gold had been traded at Rs 276,500 per tola on Tuesday, while silver stood at Rs 5,340 per tola. On Sunday, hallmark gold was priced at Rs 270,600 per tola before rising sharply in subsequent sessions.
In the international market, gold was trading at around USD 4,638 per ounce on Thursday, while silver was priced at approximately USD 92 per ounce, according to international media reports.
