KATHMANDU: US Embassy Nepal is accelerating the growth of Nepal’s creative economy with the launch of “Creator’s Mela 2026: Vision to Venture.” This year’s edition marks a bold evolution for the flagship platform, shifting the focus from content creation to building sustainable, professional businesses. The multi-city experience will visit Chitwan on January 17 and Nepalgunj on January 24, before arriving in Kathmandu for a two-day finale on January 30–31, 2026.
From Creative Spark to Business Venture: The 2026 theme, Vision to Venture, is designed to bridge the gap between digital storytelling and professional enterprise. By integrating U.S. expertise in technology, platform monetization, and digital business development, the Mela offers creators a roadmap to scale their influence into long-term careers.
“Creator’s Mela 2026 reflects the United States’ commitment to strengthening Nepal’s creative economy,” said Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at U.S. Embassy Nepal. “By enhancing knowledge, skills, and networks nationwide, we are supporting entrepreneurship and job creation. We are positioning Nepali creators not just for local influence, but for success with American business partners and in global markets, fostering deeper economic ties and shared prosperity.”
A Powerhouse of Talent and Expertise: The event features an elite lineup of over 50 creators, industry experts, and performers. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn from the journeys and experience the performances of influential voices such as Sajjan Raj Vaidya, Priyanka Karki, Ayushman Joshi, 2B Gamer, Lex Limbu, Neetesh Jung Kunwar, Kabita Nepali, Yabesh Thapa, Sonam Topden, Shrishes Manandhar, and Nepal 8th Wonder, among many others. Through interactive workshops and panels, these leading figures will share the strategies that turned their digital presence into nationwide impact.
On-the-Spot Mentorship: A centerpiece of the Kathmandu summit is “Pitch to Success,” where the next generation of entrepreneurs will step into the spotlight. Selected creators will pitch their business ventures directly to a panel of Nepal’s top corporate leaders, including Anand Bagaria (Nimbus), Cabinet Shrestha (Agni Group), and Bishakha Khadka Kunwar (Ncell), for real-time feedback and high-level mentorship.
A Growing Legacy: Since its inception in 2023, Creator’s Mela has become the premier hub for Nepal’s digital landscape. Now in its fourth edition, the 2026 Vision to Venture initiative reaffirms the U.S. Embassy’s dedication to professionalizing the creator economy and supporting economic growth across the country.
