KATHMANDU: Construction of the Kohalpur–Surkhet 132 kV transmission line has entered its final phase, with preparations underway to begin charging by Magh 20. Project authorities said work is progressing at full pace to meet the deadline.
According to Project Chief Ravi Chaudhary, only around 500 meters of stringing work remains. The transmission line project, which began six years ago with an estimated cost of Rs 700 million, has achieved 100 percent physical progress.
The project plans to complete testing within the next week and start electricity transmission within 15 days, significantly strengthening power supply in the Kohalpur–Surkhet corridor.
