KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom (Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited) has appointed Reena Dangol as the Acting Managing Director. The decision was made following the Prime Minister and Ministerial-level directive dated 2082/10/22 BS, with the official appointment letter issued by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on 2082/10/23 BS.
Reena Dangol, the newly appointed Acting Managing Director, holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Electrical from Bangladesh University. She began her career on 2051/01/01 BS with the then Nepal Telecommunications Organization as a temporary engineer and received permanent appointment on 2052/01/09 BS.
Dangol previously served as Deputy Managing Director from 2080/03/32 BS and has managed the Regional Directorates in Biratnagar and Kathmandu, as well as the Wireline and Customer Service Directorate. Before her current appointment, she was serving as Chief Technical Officer.
Assuming her new role, Dangol expressed gratitude to the Nepal government for the trust and goodwill and emphasized her commitment to prioritizing the interests of the company, employees, and the nation while aligning with customer needs and government priorities. She pledged to make Nepal Telecom customer-centric, technology-friendly, and financially strong, balancing public responsibility and competitive capability. She also encouraged staff to move forward with confidence, dedication, and shared objectives.
This appointment signals Nepal Telecom’s continued focus on strategic leadership, technological advancement, and efficient public service under experienced technical guidance.
