KATHMANDU: Ncell has partnered with Super Krishak, a leading digital agriculture platform to provide premium digital agri-services nationwide. This collaboration aims to make modern and technology-driven agricultural support accessible to farmers in every part of the country simply through their mobile phones.
This partnership marks a historic step toward digitizing Nepal’s agriculture sector and bridging the digital gap in agriculture. The platform developed by Gham Power Nepal to empower farmers through technology, has over 30,000 registered farmers from across the country.
The platform offers digital tools and services such as Online Agriculture Training, Krishi Doctor, and Krishi Cheena (satellite monitoring), enabling farmers to get real-time agricultural advice, pest and disease diagnosis, and crop monitoring insights directly on their mobile phones.
This collaboration has enabled farmers in every district of the country to receive advanced, affordable, and locally appropriate agricultural support digitally. From the high mountains to the plains of the Terai, expert advice, suggestions, and access to modern technology are now assured in the hands of every farmer through mobile phone.
With Ncell’s vast network coverage and millions of active users, Super Krishak’s premium services are now accessible to everyday farmers as a value-added telecommunications service.
This means farmers can now easily access and benefit from agricultural services seamlessly by using their mobile balance, in the same simple way they pay for voice calls, data, or SMS.
Farmers can subscribe to the service via Super Krishi App by paying Rs 13 every three days in installment for one year pack that costs total Rs. 1,560. For six months subscription farmers will have to pay Rs. 14 every three days for pack worth Rs. 840.
Likewise, one-time payment of Rs. 756 and Rs. 1,248 enables them to enjoy the service for six months and one year respectively. Applicable changes get deducted directly from main balance once farmers subscribe to the desired service.
The premium services include training modules that offer comprehensive and step-by-step learning resources on modern farming practices, Krishi Doctor, an AI-powered pest and disease detection mechanism for more than 800 crop issues offering instant identification and tailored localized solutions and real-time personalized advisory service that is data-driven and offers recommendations in local languages to solve each farmer’s agricultural problems and queries.
Ncell and Super Krishak aim to reach over 120,000 farmers within the first year of launch. This partnership marks a historic step in the journey to digitalize Nepal’s agriculture sector and to narrow down the digital divide in the agriculture sector.
