India AI Summit 2026: New Delhi becomes global tech hub

KATHMANDU: The India AI Impact Summit 2026 wrapped up this week at Bharat Mandapam, marking the first time this global event was held in the “Global South.” The five-day summit brought together world leaders, tech CEOs, and over 200,000 visitors to discuss how artificial intelligence can improve daily life.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the event by introducing the “MANAV” vision—a plan to make AI ethical, accountable, and focused on helping people. He emphasized that AI should not just be for big companies but should reach farmers, students, and small businesses across India.
