PM Sushila Karki performs Rudrabhishek Puja at Pashupatinath Temple after elections, Calls for unity and prosperity

KATHMANDU: Following the successful completion of national elections, Prime Minister Sushila Karki performed a Rudrabhishek ritual at the revered Pashupatinath Temple, seeking peace, stability, and prosperity for the nation.

During the worship, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the collective support and cooperation received from all sectors in steering the country toward a peaceful and stable trajectory. She emphasized that the post-election phase presents a critical opportunity to consolidate democratic gains and accelerate Nepal’s socio-economic progress.

Karki also conveyed her best wishes for the nation to move decisively toward development and prosperity, highlighting the importance of political stability in sustaining economic growth and investor confidence in Nepal.

Calling for stronger social cohesion, she urged all Nepalis to reinforce unity, harmony, and mutual goodwill across communities. “May the spirit of national unity and emotional solidarity among all citizens continue to grow stronger,” she stated during the ceremony.

The religious observance was attended by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Anil Kumar Sinha, along with senior officials from the Pashupati Area Development Trust, including Member Secretary Prakashmani Sharma and Executive Director Subash Joshi.

The event underscores the traditional intersection of governance and cultural practices in Nepal, where political leaders often engage in religious rituals following major national milestones.
