KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance Nepal has transferred 30 under secretaries in a single administrative decision, marking a significant reshuffle within the ministry and its subordinate agencies.
According to the ministry, the transferred officials have been reassigned to key departments including the Department of Customs Nepal and the Inland Revenue Department Nepal, as well as other offices under its jurisdiction.
Some under secretaries have also been posted to provincial ministries of economic affairs and planning, as part of efforts to strengthen coordination between federal and provincial financial administration.
This is the first major transfer of under secretaries since Swarnim Wagle assumed office as Finance Minister. The move is seen as part of routine administrative restructuring aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery within the financial governance system.
