KATHMANDU: In a move set to transform Nepal’s air cargo and logistics industry, Yeti Airlines Pvt. Ltd. has partnered with Upaya City Cargo Pvt. Ltd. to launch the “Yeti Door to Door Cargo Service.” The collaboration, announced this week, integrates Yeti’s aviation reach with Upaya’s logistics technology platform, aiming to provide seamless, end-to-end cargo solutions nationwide.
The new service brings together Yeti Airlines’ extensive domestic flight network and Upaya’s proprietary Upaya Complete logistics platform to deliver fully trackable, door-to-door cargo services across Nepal. Customers will now have flexible options, including door-to-door pickup and delivery, drop-off at Upaya hubs, or traditional airport-to-airport cargo solutions, with pricing tailored to individual needs.
Upaya as Exclusive Technology and Operations Partner
As per the agreement, Upaya will serve as the exclusive operational and technology partner, handling the entire cargo cycle. This includes first-mile pickup, warehousing, dispatch, air transport coordination, last-mile delivery, return logistics, and cash-on-delivery reconciliation.
With this model, the companies say customers can expect greater speed, transparency, and convenience than traditional cargo processes allow.
Nationwide Coverage and Benefits
The “Yeti Door to Door Cargo Service” will initially cover major cities including Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Pokhara, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Janakpur, and Bhadrapur, with further expansion planned.
Key customer benefits include:
-Nationwide Coverage across urban hubs and remote destinations.
-End-to-End Tracking via Upaya’s integrated digital platform, enabling real-time shipment monitoring.
-Faster Deliveries by combining air cargo with optimized ground logistics.
-Simplified Customer Experience through a single booking and management platform.
Speaking at the launch, Suman Rayamajhi, Managing Director of Upaya, said, “We’re proud to partner with Yeti Airlines to bring a game-changing cargo experience to Nepal. Through Upaya Complete, we’re digitizing every step of the logistics journey — giving customers more control, transparency, and reliability than ever before.”
Echoing the sentiment, Subash Sapkota, CEO of Yeti Airlines, emphasized the significance of aviation-logistics integration, “Yeti Airlines has always focused on connecting Nepal efficiently. By combining our aviation expertise with Upaya’s technological innovation, we are redefining what cargo delivery means — faster, smarter, and more accessible for businesses and individuals alike.”
Future Expansion and Innovation
Both companies confirmed that this partnership is not limited to immediate service rollouts. Plans are already underway to expand coverage and introduce AI-driven route optimization, automated logistics hubs, and data-driven insights for businesses.
Industry experts say the partnership could serve as a landmark shift in Nepal’s logistics ecosystem, setting new benchmarks for speed, reliability, and customer-centric service while modernizing an industry still heavily dependent on manual processes.
