KATHMANDU: Genese Solution, the UK-based IT and cybersecurity consulting firm founded by Nepali entrepreneur Anjani Phuyal, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oman Data Park (ODP), the Sultanate’s premier managed services and cloud provider. The landmark agreement, signed at ODP headquarters on Monday, aims to jointly spearhead next-generation technology initiatives in the Middle East, with significant implications for Nepal’s growing global tech footprint.
The partnership focuses on four core strategic areas: cloud transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, advanced cybersecurity, and software engineering. The move is designed to accelerate Oman’s digital agenda by combining ODP’s robust, secure local infrastructure with Genese’s proven global expertise.
ODP CEO, Maqboul Al-Wahaiby, emphasized the synergistic nature of the collaboration. “This partnership combines Genese’s global expertise with our locally hosted, secure infrastructure to deliver even greater value to our clients in Oman and beyond,” ODP stated in an official release. “Together, we will advance our Cloud Centre of Excellence, co-develop AI solutions, and unlock new growth across local and regional markets.”

Crucially, Genese Founder and CEO Anjani Phuyal—who is also an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Ambassador—highlighted the positive implications for his country of origin. “This partnership reinforces Genese’s growing global footprint and opens new avenues for cross-border collaboration,” said Mr. Phuyal. “It creates opportunities for Nepal’s tech talent to work on high-value international projects, strengthens our positioning in cloud and AI services, and showcases Nepal as an emerging hub for digital expertise on the global stage.”
The agreement leverages the strengths of both parties: Genese is recognized as an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner—the highest designation in the AWS Partner Network—known for its expertise in enterprise modernization. ODP, established in 2012, operates state-of-the-art, certified Tier III and Tier III+ data centers, serving over 800 government, corporate, and SME organizations in the Sultanate.
The partnership follows Genese’s recent appointment as an authorized global reseller for the NASDAQ-listed AI provider, Fusemachines Inc. This successive strategic alliance positions Genese Solution at the forefront of the global digital transformation wave, using the Middle East as a key launchpad for delivering advanced, sovereign-cloud-based solutions across the region.
