KATHMANDU: A tripartite agreement has been signed between Golyan Group, the respective schools, and guardians to fund the education of children of those killed during the Gen-Z movement. The agreement operationalizes Golyan Group’s earlier announcement made on Asoj 24, pledging long-term educational support for the martyrs’ families.
Under the first phase, six martyr families covering nine children were formally enrolled in the scholarship program during an event held Tuesday at Golyan Tower. As per the agreement, Golyan Group will bear educational expenses of up to Rs 4,80,000 per student annually, covering school fees, meals, hostel charges, transportation, extracurricular activities, annual enrolment fees, administrative fees, books, stationery, and uniforms. All payments will be made directly by Golyan Group to the schools based on issued invoices.
Golyan Group has set aside Rs 15 million annually for the scholarship program. A total of 32 children from 24 martyr families will ultimately receive educational scholarships. Children not covered under the scholarship package will also benefit from a parallel health insurance program that is being prepared, according to the company.
Golyan Group will additionally bear costs for extracurricular activities based on each child’s interest. If a school does not offer specific activities, students may pursue them through other institutions, and expenses will be reimbursed within the scholarship limit.
Schools Assigned for Each Martyr Family
The agreement finalizes school placements for the first batch of students:
Two sons of martyr Anish Parajuli:– Elder son: North Pole Academy, Manmaiju (Grade 8)– Younger son: Euro School, Baniyatar (Playgroup)
Sister of martyr Abhishek Chaulagai:– Jagrity Vidya Sadan English School, Bhaktapur (Grade 10)

Scholarships will cover all educational expenses up to Grade 12.
The agreement was signed by Jyoti Gaire, Head of Corporate Affairs, Communications and Public Relations at Golyan Group, the principals of the respective schools, and the guardians of the children.
“Commitment Begins a New Chapter”: Akshay Golyan
Speaking at the program, Golyan Group Managing Director Akshay Golyan said the company had entered an important phase in delivering on its commitment to support the families of Gen-Z martyrs.
He said the initiative was not driven by business promotion or marketing motives but by an emotional and moral responsibility. “This agreement ensures not only quality education but opportunities for children to explore their talents and abilities beyond the classroom,” he said. Quality education and good values among these children, he added, would positively shape the nation’s future. The Group will “stand by the children at every step,” he emphasized.
Schools Express Support
School principals attending the signing ceremony welcomed Golyan Group’s initiative.
Tri-Jyoti Secondary School Principal Ganesh Kumar Mishra, whose school hosts two sons of martyr Sajan Kumar Rai—children who lost both parents—said the school will prioritize the children’s welfare and academic progress.
Cambridge Public High School Founder/Principal Rita Rai Dahal, also a PABSON advisor, suggested that Golyan Group regularly organize extracurricular and group-interaction programs to help the children build confidence, social bonding, and competitive spirit.
North Pole Academy School Management Committee Chair Shyak Krishna Bhetwal said Golyan Group’s initiative reflects a strong sense of social responsibility alongside its business operations.
