KATHMANDU: Commercial banks listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) have begun announcing dividends for their shareholders from the profit of fiscal year 2081/82. Out of the 19 listed commercial banks, 11 have announced their dividend proposals so far.
Among the banks that have declared dividends, Everest Bank has proposed the highest payout, announcing a 20% dividend, which includes 6% bonus shares and 14% cash dividend.
Dividend Breakdown by Banks
Everest Bank: 6% bonus + 14% cash = 20%
Siddhartha Bank: 5% bonus + 5.53% cash = 10.53%
Laxmi Sunrise Bank: 10% bonus + 0.53% cash = 10.53%
Standard Chartered Bank Nepal: 19% cash dividend
Agricultural Development Bank (ADB/N): 3.25% bonus + 9.75% cash = 13%
Sanima Bank: 7.37% cash dividend
Citizens Bank: 5% bonus + 0.26% cash = 5.26%
NMB Bank: 5% bonus + 5% cash = 10%
Nepal SBI Bank: 4% bonus + 5% cash = 9%
Global IME Bank: 8% cash dividend
Machhapuchchhre Bank: 4% bonus + 4% cash = 8%
Banks Yet to Announce Dividends
Seven commercial banks have not declared dividends yet. These include:
Nabil Bank
Prabhu Bank
Himalayan Bank
Nepal Bank
NIC Asia Bank
Nepal Investment Mega Bank
Prime Commercial Bank
Meanwhile, Kumari Bank has decided not to distribute any dividend this year, leaving its shareholders empty-handed.
