Global IME Bank partners with DAI–Udaya Project to expand credit access for MSE’s in Koshi Province

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with the DAI–Udaya Project to expand credit access for micro and small enterprises operating across Koshi Province, with the aim of boosting business growth and employment generation.

The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate easier financial access for selected small and micro businesses in the province. The agreement was signed by Global IME Bank Chief Executive Officer Surendra Raj Regmi and DAI–Udaya Project Chief of Party Arun Rana.

Under the agreement, enterprises and businesses selected by the DAI–Udaya Project will be eligible to access loans conveniently through all branches of Global IME Bank located in Koshi Province. The bank expects the collaboration to help enterprises facing capital constraints expand their operations, increase investment, and create additional employment opportunities at the local level.

The DAI–Udaya Project is being implemented across all districts of Koshi Province with technical support from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning of the Koshi Provincial Government. The project is a bilateral initiative supported by the Governments of Nepal and Switzerland.

DAI–Udaya has been working to improve access to finance and promote business upgrading for enterprises in sectors such as renewable energy, agro-processing, information technology, tourism, and manufacturing. The project aims to create a more enabling financial environment for sustainable enterprise development in the province.
