KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited marked its 19th anniversary by organising a large-scale blood donation programme simultaneously across all seven provinces, with the participation of 558 donors.
The programme was conducted as part of the bank’s 19 corporate social responsibility initiatives announced on the occasion of completing 19 years of operation and entering its 20th year. The bank officially entered its 20th year on Poush 18.
Blood donation events were held at designated branches in each province, including Biratnagar (Koshi), Bardibas (Madhesh), Kantipath and Narayangadh (Bagmati), Pokhara New Road (Gandaki), Butwal Chauraha and Nepalgunj (Lumbini), Surkhet (Karnali), and Dhangadhi (Sudurpaschim).
Organised in collaboration with Grande International Hospital and the Nepal Red Cross Society, the collected blood will be prioritised for distribution to poor, underprivileged, and low-income patients.
Global IME Bank stated that such initiatives reflect its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility. The bank operates a nationwide network covering all 77 districts and continues to expand financial access through its extensive branch and service infrastructure.
