KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices increased in the Nepali market on Tuesday, reflecting continued volatility in precious metals trading.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold rose by Rs 400 per tola, reaching Rs 309,900, up from Rs 309,500 the previous day.
Similarly, silver prices climbed by Rs 70 per tola to Rs 5,335, compared to Rs 5,265 a day earlier.
Despite the recent increase, prices remain below their all-time high recorded on Magh 15, when gold reached Rs 339,300 per tola and silver surged to Rs 7,505 per tola.
Market experts link the price movements to fluctuations in global gold rates, currency exchange dynamics, and seasonal demand in Nepal’s bullion market.
