Government recommends calling Federal Parliament session on Chaitra 19

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to recommend to Ram Chandra Paudel to convene a session of the Federal Parliament on Chaitra 19.

The decision was taken during Monday’s Cabinet meeting, according to government spokesperson and Minister for Education Sasmit Pokharel.

Cabinet Decision to Initiate Parliamentary Session

Minister Pokharel said the Cabinet has formally agreed to recommend the President to summon the session, in line with constitutional provisions governing parliamentary proceedings.

Once approved by the President, the new session of the Federal Parliament of Nepal will begin on the said date.

Key Legislative Agenda Expected

The upcoming session is expected to take up several important legislative and policy matters, including:

Government reform agenda and governance measures
Discussion on constitutional amendment framework
Economic and budget-related deliberations
