KATHMANDU: The government has appointed a chairperson and two members to the Problematic Cooperatives Management Committee, aiming to strengthen oversight and resolution of troubled cooperative institutions.

A Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday afternoon appointed Dilli Raj Acharya of Pyuthan as the chairperson of the committee.

Similarly, Navaraj Simkhada from Dhading and Roshan Bahadur Shakya from Lalitpur have been appointed and nominated as members of the committee.

Minister for Communication and Information Technology Bikram Timilsina confirmed the Cabinet’s decision, stating that the appointments are part of the government’s effort to address issues in the cooperative sector.
