Servo Production Golcha group
KATHMANDU: Servo lubricants have started being produced in Nepal, with Golchha Group bringing a modern lube blending plant into operation in Devchuli, Nawalpur.
The facility has been set up by Hansraj Hulaschand & Company under Golchha Group in partnership with Indian Oil Corporation. With the plant now operational, Servo lubricants, which were previously imported, will be produced domestically.
Golchha Group Chairman Shekhar Golchha said the start of production from the Devchuli plant is a matter of pride. According to the company, the plant has created employment for around 150 people.
The investment agreement for the project was signed on June 1, 2023 (Jestha 18, 2080 BS) during the India visit of then Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
The company expects local production to improve supply and support the domestic market.
