KATHMANDU — Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited (NIMB) has dismissed media reports and social media speculation regarding the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), stating that the claims are misleading, baseless, and factually incorrect.

In a press statement issued on May 11, 2026 (Baisakh 28, 2083 BS), the bank said its serious attention had been drawn to reports circulating in certain media outlets and social platforms claiming that CEO Jyoti Prakash Pandey had resigned from his position.

Rejecting the reports, the bank clarified that CEO Jyoti Prakash Pandey remains actively engaged in his responsibilities, continuing to lead the bank’s operations and management. The bank emphasized that there has been no resignation or disruption in leadership.

“NIMB wishes to clearly state that such reports are misleading, baseless and devoid of facts,” the statement noted, urging media organizations and stakeholders to verify information through official sources before publishing or disseminating banking-related news.

The bank also reiterated its commitment to maintaining the confidence and trust of its customers, shareholders, and the wider public, stating that it remains focused on delivering quality banking services and institutional stability.

The clarification comes amid heightened public interest in Nepal’s banking sector leadership and governance, with market participants closely watching executive-level developments at major financial institutions.
