Vehicles destined to areas with prohibitory orders to be stopped at customs

KATHMANDU: The government is preparing to restrict the entry of cargo vehicles except those that are importing essential goods at the customs points if such vehicles are travelling to districts where a prohibitory order has been issued.

Announcing different decisions of the Cabinet today, Minister for Finance, Communication and Information Technology,Yubaraj Khatiwada, said that the government will soon stop the entry of vehicles that are destined to regions where prohibitory orders exist at the customs points. Local governments across different districts, including Kathmandu, have imposed prohibitory orders amid increasing cases of coronavirus.
