NT’s IP TV through FTTH from Friday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom (NT) is set to start IP TV in its’ fiber to the home (FTTH) service from the beginning of English New Year.

Though only voice and data services were available at its FTTH service, the company plans to boost its customer base by giving video service through FTTH. NT is set to start IP TV service from Friday (January 1).

Dilli Adhikari, managing director of NT informed that the IP TV service is currently on testing phase and will officially be launched from Friday.

As per him, there are more than 100,000 subscribers of FTTH and launching IP TV service intends to facilitate these FTTH customers. Though the IP TV service will be first launched in Kathmandu Valley, it will be expanded to all 77 districts gradually, as per Adhikari.
