First franchise of ‘Mato’ in New Baneshwor

KATHMANDU: Golyan Agro Pvt. Ltd has opened the first franchise store of ‘Mato’ brand in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

Organic vegetables, fruits, pulses, tea-coffee, eggs, among others produced by Nepali farmers will be available in stores. Pawan Golyan, chairman of the Golyan Group, inaugurated the store called ‘Mato Fresh’ near Liverpool College, New Baneshwor.

The group is promoting and marketing agricultural products of indigenous farmers under the Mato brand. Golyan, chairman of the group, said that the the Mato brand intends to encourage Nepali farmers in organic agricultural production.

“Organic products of Mato brand are being sold at the average price available in the market. The franchise model has been started to make youths self-reliant,” said Golyan.

The company has already opened Mato brand stores in Sanepa, Narayanthan, Kupandol and Golfutar. Golyan informed that such stores will be opened in Jamsikhel, Naxal, Lazimpat and Chandol soon.
