Nepal approves use of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine

KATHMANDU: The government has approved the use of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by China’s Beijing Institute of Biological Products.

A decision to grant the emergency approval for this Chinese vaccine had been taken on Wednesday, as per a press statement issued by the Department of Drug Administration.

China has pledged to provide 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine under grant assistance to Nepal.
