Govt to allow private sector to bring COVID-19 vaccines

KATHMANDU: The government is preparing to allow the private sector to bring the COVID-19 vaccine.

Hridayesh Tripati, Minister for Health and Population informed that the decision to allow private companies to bring and supply COVID-19 vaccines will be taken by the Cabinet soon. However, private sector should comply with certain standards while importing and supply the COVID-19 vaccine, he informed.

Speaking at a press conference at the ministry on Thursday, Minister Tripathi said, “However, the government will not buy the vaccines brought by private companies.”
