20 ministers lose their jobs following apex court’s decision to invalidate PM Oli’s cabinet expansion

KATHMANDU: Following Supreme Court (SC) interim order that invalidated the cabinet expansion made by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, 20 Cabinet members of the Oli-led Cabinet have lost their ministerial portfolios.

A division bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JBR and Justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana passed the verdict to invalidate the cabinet expansion by PM Oli earlier today.

Apex court’s verdict to this effect means that Raghubir Mahaseth (Foreign),  Rajendra Mahato (Urban Development), Khagraj Adhikari (Home), Saratsingh Bhandari (Energy), Anil Kumar Jha (Drinking Water), Sher Bahadur Tamang (Health), Raj Kishor Yadav (Industry), Laxaman Lal Karna (Land Management), Nainkala Thapa (Communication), Jwala Kumari Sah (Agriculture), Bimal Shreevastav (Labor), Uma Shankar Argariya (Tourism), Chanda Chaudhary (Women), Ekbal Miya (Youth), Narad Muni Rana (Forest), Ganesh Kumar Pahadi (General Administration), Mohan Mainali (without portfolio) have lost their ministerial posts.
