Amendment on budget after parliament finalize budget ordinance: FinMin Sharma

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has made it clear that preparations for the budget amendments will start only after the budget ordinance is finalized by the parliament.

Speaking at a meeting with the Society of Economic Journalists Nepal at the Ministry of Finance, Finance Minister Sharma said that the amendment works will move ahead only after the ordinance is finalized by the parliament.

Earlier, the budget brought by the KP Sharma Oli-led government through an ordinance has now been tabled at the parliament.

Minister Sharma also said that preparations are being made to issue a white paper or after evaluating the overall condition of the economy.

He also informed that the government has kept in priority to vaccinate against Covid-19.
