Nepal to ban online betting sites, including 1xbet.com across the country

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed concerned agencies to shut down various illegal betting online sites, including 1XBet in Nepal.

While Nepal Police has been searching for those involved in illegal betting, the NRB has written to the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTAA), instructing it to stop online betting including 1X bets across Nepal.

Following such direction from NRB, the NTA has instructed internet service providers on Monday to stop online betting and gambling related websites including 1XBet, which are operating illegally in Nepal.

NRB has stated that foreign betting websites including 1XBet.com, which are operating in Nepal for the purpose of online gambling and betting, are betting through various agents.
