Investment Board gave nod to investment worth Rs 136 billion in 2020-21

KATHMANDU: The Office of the Investment Board Nepal (OIBN) has approved investment worth Rs 136 billion in various projects in the last fiscal year.

Presenting its annual report of fiscal year 2020-21 to the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday, the board  stated that it approved investment worth the given amount across multiple projects in the last fiscal year.

Similarly, the OIBN also notified the Prime Minister that the board is in the process of approving projects worth Rs 400 billion.

According to the board, among others, the progress reports of Arun-III Hydropower Project and Huaxin Cement are encouraging while Damak Industrial Park, Dang Cement and Samrat Cement are in the process of signing agreements.
