Nepse bounces back, achieves first triple-digit gain in history

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index closed at 2,980.78 today after gaining an impressive 161.94 points from yesterday’s closing. This is the first triple-digit intraday gain in the history of Nepse. The index had lost 108.26 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,816.93 and created the intraday low at 2,805. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,980.78.

A total of 17,922,588 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs 9.826 billion in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday’s turnover of Rs 11.24 billion.
